2022 APSC Executive Elections
It’s that time of year! The APSC elections will occur during the Annual General Meeting, to be held virtually on November 18, 2021, at 7 PM. All voting to occur during this meeting will be held within the Zoom platform, and will be anonymous.
This is your opportunity to get involved! To help organize, elevate, and run Aquatic Park Sailing Club. While some of your current executive members are choosing to stand for re-election, all positions are considered open. The only qualifications are that you have a passion for APSC, and a desire to make the club a better place. If this sounds like you, you’re encouraged to throw your hat in the ring. This year, being nominated by another member is not required.
What are the Responsibilities?
Board members are responsible for leading and organizing initiatives in the realm of their unique position (more on that below). As we all know, the executive team is not alone in keeping the club running – there are members who step up each and every day to help out – but the board of directors are expected to lead and organize their initiatives. The board also meets on a monthly basis year-round to provide updates, discuss issues, and plan for the future on behalf of the membership.
How to Get Involved
If you are interested in learning more about, or running for any position, you can reach out to any existing board member. At this time, all those interested in running for a position are encouraged to reach out to communication@aquaticpark.com to submit their interest prior to the meeting. A list of all those running, particularly for any contested positions, will be released prior to the AGM.
