Spit Clean Up Thank You

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday to help with the Spit Clean Up.  And a special thank you to Cathryn and Paul, our Members at Large Directors for all of their hard work in coordinating with the TRCA, World Wildlife Fund, Water Brothers and the Great Canadian Shoreline Clean Up and for providing such a great lunch.  Our club members alone collected well over 200 kilo’s of waste which was hauled to the front gate using our shuttle on its regular runs. What a great team effort!

This kind of  stewardship of the Tommy Thompson Park by us as a club is vital to our coexistence in the park with the other user groups.

Thanks also to those who helped in preparing lunch for the 20 plus volunteers after a hard morning of collecting garbage from the shoreline.
