Commodore’s Ball and Membership Renewals
Dear Aquatic Parkers,
I trust you are all coping with this nightmarish time of year when our boats are on the hard. It is tough, but together we’ll get through it. To assist you, we are, of course, holding the Commodore’s Ball on Saturday, December 8th and I hope to see you there.
Those of you who made it to the General Meeting in November will hopefully have picked up a paper Membership Renewal Form. In my absence, our able Treasurer, Alison, was kind enough to hand those out for me. If you weren’t at the General Meeting, or didn’t pick up a paper Membership Renewal Form at that time, I will have the Forms for you to complete at the Commodore’s Ball. Also, I ask that everyone attending the Ball please bring your cheque book and proof of insurance with you and you can provide me with a cheque for your mooring fee, a cheque for your work hours and a copy of your insurance certificate at that time. That will save the Club big bucks for postage.
For those of you who can’t make it to the Commodore’s Ball (and who didn’t get a paper Renewal Form at the General Meeting), I will mail out paper Renewal Forms to you in the mail shortly. Alternatively, you can still renew your membership from our website. It is your choice, old school or online.
All members are asked to complete and return the renewal form (on paper or online) and provide proof of insurance no later than January 31, 2019. This allows the Executive Committee time to budget for the coming season.
We have kept our fees at the same level as 2018. The active member / mooring fee is based on the length of your boat (length overall). The below figures are inclusive of HST and the Levy (for property taxes) + HST:
Length overall of boat 2019 Mooring Fee
Up to 25’ $693.82
Over 25’ and up to 30’ $728.85
Over 30’ and up to 35’ $763.88
Over 35’ $800.04
Dormant Member fee (inclusive of HST) $172.89
Work-hours deposit (inclusive of HST)
(refunded when member completes 30 hours) $847.50
Work-hour deposit for additional Consortium members (inclusive of HST). Each additional Consortium member requires an additional 10 hours. $282.50
Late Fee: only applies to Renewals received after January 31, 2019 $56.50
Hope to see you at the Ball,
Greg Graham
