Crossing the Bar
Norm Lehman
March 28, 1952 – March 19, 2018
Norm Lehman, a longtime member of APSC, passed away Monday, March 19/18. Norm and Gloria played a big part in the history of APSC, serving as members of the Executive and working hard to keep APSC a viable sailing club.
Norm’s passion was his boat ‘Fiddler’s Green’, a 27 foot Keel Cutter designed by T. Harris Butler and built by Alan C. White. She was not so much a sailboat but rather a piece of art that graced the bay for many years. Norm worked relentlessly to keep ‘Fiddler’ in immaculate condition for the 35 years that he and Gloria owned her (1982-2017).
Norm was a wonderful, gentle man who worked as a business coaching/consultant and also took the time to work within his community with entrepreneurs to build their small businesses. He was recognized in an article in ‘The Star‘ for helping Shawn Andrews to build her Riverdale coffee shop, ‘The Rooster’, into a successful local business.
Norm and Gloria, two wonderful people, were married for 45 years. We cherish fond memories and send our deepest condolences to Gloria for her loss.
We wish Norm a safe passage to ‘Fiddler’s Green’.
