DINGHY COMPOUND CLEAR-OUT!
Hi fellow APSC members,
We have new members (YAY!) who are inquiring whether there are dinghies for sale or hand-over. Please contact me if you have one in good repair.
Further to that, the compound needs to be rid of old, dilapidated and unusable dinghies and discarded inflatables.
The compound itself has become something of a dumping ground, and it’s time to clean it out!!
If any of these are your property, it’s your responsibility to deal with them. I will be surveying the racks, taking pictures of all dinghies and their accompanying mooring number. You will be contacted in the coming weeks to discuss what steps need to be taken with your dinghy. This also applies to any detritus in and around your dinghy. If not claimed or moved, it will become landfill.
The process might involve tagging the ones that are clearly unserviceable. If the member responsible does not come forward, or refuses to take responsibility, the dinghy will be disposed of, and the costs will be shared. So, please be pro-active. If you haven’t used or dealt with ( let alone seen) the dinghy that belongs to you in the compound, contact me ASAP and we will try and sort something out.
If you ignore this message and do nothing, we will do it for you, and charge you for it.
The labour to remove dinghies and detritus will be a work-hours redeemable project. I will send another note in the coming weeks to set up a work detail, likely in August.
Thanks for your attention to this,
