Locking the front gate

Here the correct way to lock the front gate according to Port Authority guys (to enable them to access the gate with their own key and not have to cut the chain. In fact you can see that they’ve had to cut it again, because it is much shorter than it was a couple weeks ago. So sorry for the delay in getting this out and please remember for next season!).

Our lock is on the chain on the left side and their lock other is on the other side of the chain, blocking the chain from going through the respective loops. In other words, do not lock the gate so that it cannot be opened at either end, by joining the chain at any point. Thanks! (And thanks to Fred. N. for the photo.)
