From TRCA: Butterfly Festival August 20th

It is summer time at Tommy Thompson Park! With summer, butterflies embody hot afternoons, blooming flowers and tranquility. In the spirit of the season, we invite you to celebrate butterflies at our annual Tommy Thompson Park Butterfly Festival on Saturday August 20, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The festival is for families and friends to celebrate everything butterflies and will include educational displays, guided walks and bird banding demonstrations (we can’t forget the birds!).

Please contact us at your earliest convenience if you, or anyone you may know, are interested in participating by hosting a display, organizing a kids activity, leading a nature walk or volunteering.  We are happy to explore new ideas and suggestions you may have. Feel free to pass them along or give me a call.

Please note that all festival volunteers are required to have vulnerable sector screening (VSS). If you have not completed this for TRCA within the last 3 years we will be happy to provide you the steps to do so, just let us know which municipality you live in.
