Mooring strops or lack thereof
Alex the Harbour Master and I were touring the mooring field yesterday and noted rather widespread non-compliance with the Mooring Regulations. A shocking number of boats are improperly moored. We saw rotting old lines, knotted in a makeshift fashion on a number of mooring balls. While we don’t ask that you value your own boat, we must ask that you value your neighbour’s boat, which would be damaged if your mooring line fails. We ask that everyone review the Club’s Mooring Regulations, which you can find in the “Members” and then “Rules and Minutes” sections of the website after you’ve logged in. Proper mooring strops are available at chandleries around the City.
